Review of A Witch's Handbook of Kisses and Curses

A Witch's Handbook of Kisses and Curses - Molly Harper

Nola is trying to get over the death of her grandmother when her grandmother spirit interrupts her coitus at a very crucial moment. It is enough to send Nola on a trip to the Half-Moon Hollow on a wild goose chase to find four family relic’s that will allow them to maintain their witchy powers.

This is a chick-lit book and I was intrigued by the story line. It reminds me of the episode of Charmed where the red head one was in the middle of a family feud and they were trying to kill each other. Ok so that is neither here nor their suffice it to say I like Jed and I always enjoy Jane, Dick Chaney and the rest of the gang. I think the search for the relics was interesting but I had trouble with Nola. She never quite clicked for me, we read a lot about who she was before she came to Half Moon Hollow but we never see it…so I never saw a change. Jeb is an interesting guy and I got what he did and why but something just felt off with him too. Then normally Molly Harper is laugh out loud funny this one no so much just a few chuckles here and there maybe a giggle.

In the end the book is cute but it is not as good as it predecessors.
