Harbinger of Books

The story picks up shortly after [b:Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet|13411684|Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet (Charley Davidson, #4)|Darynda Jones|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1347930043s/13411684.jpg|18670691] Charley has learned who her new neighbor is and while she wants to be with Reyes she is also believes he is behind a bunch of arson cases. Meanwhile dead women who will not cross over or talk to Charley are invading her home and the police chief has taken an interest in how she solves cases.

There were some really good parts about this book, like we got some background on Reyes and what happened to Swoopes. I loved seeing Cookie and the rest of the gang. It also seems like some of the emotional issues Charley was dealing with are starting to abate.

The biggest challenge I had with this book was the mystery...in short it was rather sad...it seems like the first part of the book kind of wandered and then the second half is all about why Charley is targeted and Reyes part in it. Then there were other minor threads that were left hanging, for example the little girl recognized Mr. Wong but that is all we learned...then there is Rockett, no conclusion there...also what happened to the wicked step mother and what does this mean for the dad

At any rate I liked the story it was fun to read but there were just so many outstanding little issues that in the end I took off a few stars.
