Harbinger of Books

The story is Eve comes to Rapid City to live with her grandmother because her parents are in the midst of an emotionally messy divorce. Eve is living a peaceful existence until she is bitten by a werewolf and finds herself caught between two men.

The story started out well and then about a third of the way in starts to fall apart. The timeline is just tow short in like three days you go from never having a boyfriend to being in love then choosing another man (rolling my eyes). Then the lies about protecting the werewolf secret is just silly.

Ever and Jericho were cute before the layers then it became whatever. I am trying to leave out spoilers so forgive my vagueness.

Part of the problem with this story is the book is actually a novella and the plot was just to big. The writing is good and the ideas are interesting but the book just ends. I like my novellas to have a conclusion and this one just did not. It felt like the beginning of a book. Not to mention something about it reminded me of Underworld and not in a good way.

In the end it is not for me. Unlikely I would continue.
