Harbinger of Books

Audrey wants a normal life a legit job, a home, food security. Unfortunately her father needs her to help out with one last con so they strike a deal if he promises to leave her alone and never see her again. To Audrey the con seems simple steal a rare item and get out what she does not realize is that this stolen item is an object desired by the Hand, the Claw and the Mirror. A few days later when Audrey is back at home trying to settle into normal life Kalder (from [b:Bayou Moon|7130616|Bayou Moon (The Edge, #2)|Ilona Andrews|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1307445460s/7130616.jpg|7392860]) shows up and lets her know exactly what she has done. Audrey attempts to rectify the situation and helps Kaldar get the item back.

I really did enjoy this one but it takes off with a rather odd start. I almost wish the book would have started with Jack and George's POV then moved into Audrey's story ...of course then you have a timeline issue but anyway for me it would have made the story flow a bit better as it had been sometime since I read the last book.

Once the book gets off the ground it really flows well. It was good to see the old characters again and this story was quite interesting lots of twists and turns. In many ways it does not feel like a PNR but UF with romance thrown in.
