Harbinger of Books

The Fire Lords have left fairy and taken over parts of the world to rule. Mor’ded has sent his champion and half human bastard son, Dominic, to capture the king in order to secure Elven rule in England. Dominic has succeeded in his father’s wishes and returns just in time for his pre-arranged political marriage to Cassandra. Lady Cassandra is more than she seems, while she has been raised in a convent in near isolation she has also been trained as an assassin to kill the Fire Lord. Marriage to Dominic is not easy for he has learned to harden his half human heart and is well known for his cold and detached ways. Despite his desire to remain detached Lady Cass awakens something in Dominic that he thought was gone long ago. Now Dominic fears for his wife’s safety and Lady Cass is now unsure if she can complete her mission but together they must uncover the depths of the Elven Lords madness.

This was a great book. It was very sweet with romance and intrigue. It really is not a light and fluffy romance in parts it is rather dark, but even still it did not feel heavy. It was interesting how truly Cass is Dominic’s perfect mate but it feels natural like two sides of a coin that fit together perfectly. The book moves fast and I was interested in the book from beginning to end.
