Highland Surrender - Tracy Brogan Fiona Sinclair has been taught all of her life to hate the Campbell clan and the king. Fiona believed the clan responsible for her mother’s death and the king sided with clan Campbell justice was never served for her mother’s murder. The highlands are full of treachery and the king has had enough so he orders a marriage between clan Campbell and Sinclair. Fiona feels betrayed by her brothers for forcing her into this marriage. Meanwhile Myles Campbell, eldest son of the Campbell clan is none too happy either. But things are not to be easy, Fiona and Myles have to figure out if they can learn to trust and love one another but together they must also face the past and figure out what happened to cause the feud.

This was a good story. The romance I thought was well done, in short you have a young woman who is rather young maybe 18 or 19 and on the one hand she wants to hold on to her anger but on the other she wants to really understand her mother’s fate, notwithstanding she has never left her clan so it is a bewildering experience to be on her own nor does she fully understand her physical attraction. Myles was definitely an understanding man because I have to be honest and say there were times I wanted to throttle the fair Fiona. Beyond the romance the political intrigue was quite interesting and kept the pace of the story. While this story is fairly predictable in the plot I must say I enjoyed the telling of it.
