Taryn is a wolf shifter with a few problems. The first is she is a natural alpha but because she cannot shift into her wolf her father is embarrassed by her. So her father has arranged a marriage if you will to a shifter who only wants to dominate her. Her next issue is an insane shifter by the name of Trey. Trey has decided to try and make a deal with Taryn to save them both. The deal involves becoming temporary mates in the long run they have more than they bargained for.
Overall this was a great read. I liked both the hero and the heroine, at times Taryn got on my nerves with her mouth but it works because the more secure she becomes the less brash. It was also fun to see the changes in Trey, as a character his actions don't really change but his choices do. Not sure if that makes sense...There was a lot of angst in the first 1/2 of the book and I wanted to throttle the two of them to get it together but the good news is that it does come together in the second half.
Now the down side, this is a self published book and a little editing would have gone a long way. There is a lot of misspelled words stuff like where instead of were. Then there are some consistency issues for example there is a group sex scene that makes no sense...why would he be willing to share?? Then there is the use of the b--- word, personally it was off putting to say the least plus it seems out of character why would someone so possessive act that way?? Last but not least was the use of sex to teach and dominate.
Suzanne Wright is a talented writer, and I will read more by her but I think the combination of crude sex just cheapened it for me.
