Harbinger of Books

The Guardians are people who have magical abilities and use there powers for the betterment of people. Our hero, Duncan, is a weather mage and and wants only to end the tension between England and Scotland. One day he meets the widow Gwynne who is a scholar because she believes that she does not have any power. Moving on Duncan is attracted to Gwynne and proceeds to seduce her and make her his wife. The problem is Gwynne has terrible visions about destruction when they kiss or touch and she becomes fearful of their future.

This is definitely a historical romance but it lost something along the way. The first 1/3 of the book was great I was really into it. Then it felt erotic at times but never romantic and then it got boring. So I skimmed. It was just to much history and war, I have to be honest if I want to read about war then I will pick up a fiction book, here I want romance and to understand more about the characters than the outside influences. Not a bad book just not for me.
