Harbinger of Books

This book starts off like you are in the middle of the story and sadly you really do not quite catch up.

The main character Sylvie is rude and a brute. There is a line that says "I will not yield. Not to you, not to anyone, not even to my own better instincts.” That sums her up completely hostile and stupid. The secondary characters are not much better either the ones I did like did not fair to well.

The story has a good premise and it could have been quite good. Instead it was tedious, I had a hard time connecting to the characters and by the end you kind of don't care.
