Archangel's Blade - Nalini Singh Archangel's Blade is the first story of the seven and it is about Dimitri. I am really interested in each of the sevens back story and then watching them fall in love and become redeemed. Honestly it was a good back story on Dmitri and that he is rather ruthless. I also liked Honor she was interesting; even though I kind of wished she was not an incarnation of his first wife. At any rate I thought she was a good match because she was not a warrior I mean she could defend herself but she feels soft to me with a big heart and the times they tried to come off as hard well that just seemed silly.
So while I liked the story clearly I had some issues with it. Personally the reincarnation scenes distracted the story for me and I feel like it took away from the relationship between Dmitri and Honor. I think of a second chance at finding love is about finding someone new who loves you for you and understands your past instead Honor is his past for me as a plot it just did not work. Dmitri has always loved his wife so for me it was not all that interesting watching him fall back in love with her reincarnated. Then there is Honor at the end of the book I am wondering who is she really?
The book was not bad it was ok but between the disjointed conversation and me not being a fan of the whole reincarnation thing it just did not fully work for me.
