Harbinger of Books

I will be honest and say I really was not looking forward to this book. When I heard it was coming out at the library I put my name on the list and promptly forgot about it. Once I got my hands on it I thought oh this maybe fun I remember Jess from Zarek’s story (Dance With the Devil). Well in reading it the story did not capture me like past ones did. I think the relationship between Jess and Abigail just did not work for me like the other characters in the series, it felt a little to convenient. I love Native American stories especially with coyote it does not flow real well with the rest of the series and this probably would have been a better side novella than a full on book, but regardless I liked it. I thought it was interesting to see the Damiens try to find a new way to survive. Now I love Ash but the bonus at the end was like really it was just meh I could have left it. Then why was Artemis there? That was just weird.
