This book was just ok for me.
The good things were I have never been a fan of Mercy and Adam but this book changed my opinion of him and it was fun to see that Stephan still has a place in Mercy's life which I enjoyed. I also getting a glimpse into Mercy's history especially her dad. It also left me feeling like Mercy has found her place with everyone.
The down fall was this felt more like an extended novella than a novel. I missed the other characters. Mercy gets beat up again (come on it was her honeymoon must she be near death??). Even though I appreciate the depth of the relationship between Mercy and Adam it still feels flat and I think it was really noticeable because so many of the other characters were missing. Then the monster or villain it was just anti-climatic.
Hopefully the next one will be much better.
