This book is a bit different than Shiver and while it is a good read the book is really a bit depressing. Reality is sinking in and most of the characters in the book are struggling with who they are and where they fit in.
The writing is still beautiful and it is a slower paced book much more emotional and inward focused rather than racing action scenes.
In some ways I wish Shiver was a stand a lone book because I thought it was a great story with no need to continue. After reading this one I do feel like I have tainted that story a little but I am curious to read the next one to see how it all ends.
