In Defense of Food is a great book. In a lot of ways it is a shame that it needed to be written.
I think Michael Pollan does a great job reminding us that there is no singular component for nutrition and it all works together as long as we eat whole food. Whole food really is the problem in America we like to reduce food to a single nutrient. Thus we have a lot of fortified junk food with health claims.
This book we well laid out, all of his points are well defended and he provides really reasonable advice. Which is cook from scratch, eat foods you grandmother would recognize, eat better quality food and eat less. The best thing is this book is a very easy read.
