Hush, Hush - Becca Fitzpatrick This is one of those books that people will love or hate. Call me a hater and thank goodness for the library because if I had purchased it I would demand a refund!

This book is a very easy read, you can really get into the story, but for those of you who enjoy a little character growth or a moving plot, you will keep reading thinking... any chapter now I am going to know what this book is really about, any page now I am going to find out there is more to the this plot then smart girl likes bad boy.

But beyond those pesky details, here is the thing romance?? Really the girl I forget her name, Norma... Nora whatever but she is scared of the boy Patch (ok really that was the best name you could come up with??) - they insult each other, he is cryptic, and vague. Did I mention the boy is a stalker, and he wants to harm her...and this is her love interest?? Then on top of that she has this crazy friend Vee who is the alleged BFF and you know I could not figure out why. The girl is insecure, jealous and looking out for numero uno. I would have told the main girl to run for the hills. Then we do get a little plot twist with a boy duo who has transferred from private school. Now that is just odd in and of itself, but anyway one, Julian is described as moody he doesn't do much of anything until the end and the other boy Elliot he is the competition but if you read the prologue you have no problem understanding who they are and what they want.

This book is labeled as a ya romance and I have to say I am offended. How does love interest equal stalker, rude, embarrass and then threaten become romance? For anyone, let alone young adults. Furthermore why is it all YA romance have parents who are clueless?? I mean wow mom did you not notice your kid is in trouble??

I gave this book two stars because it is easy to read and the authors writing is actually good, if she could throw in some character development and a good strong plot with a few twists got rid of a few cliché moments and the cheesy factor it would have been awesome!
