Harbinger of Books

This book starts off slow. It seems like the vanilla story where a virgin librarian is uber powerful then she literally falls out of a window and meets a powerful demon who has never been tempted to be with a human in 400 years. Of course they get together and they become power couple numero uno. Then somewhere around page two hundred we get some action and things get interesting. I get this is a series that is just starting and the first hundred or so pages is all world building but to me it seemed kind of vanilla. At any rate the end of the book redeemed things for me and I am looking forward to reading the next book.
