We all have different hobbies in life but my absolute favorite thing to do is pick up a book. This blog is dedicated to all of my ramblings.
Aidan has been betrothed to Lady Luella a woman he has never seen because of his fathers plan. While Aidan has no desire to marry he is unable to say no which would go back on his fathers word so he resigns himself to his fate and hopes for a polite marriage. Then Lady Luella sends a letter, Aidan is unable to read and asks Eamon to respond on his behalf.
Eamon has lived in his brothers shadow and thanks to his father's harsh hand believes himself to be worthless. Initially he is writing with the intention of being spiteful but somehow Lady Luella breaks into his heart and now he is backed into a corner because she is promised to his brother. Lady Luella also has her own secrets and nothing is as it seems.
Wonderful short story! It is supposed to be part of the Darkest London series but to be honest it is very loosely related to the prior stories. I loved these two lonely people found each other and my synopsis of the story does not do it justice.
