Review for Summer's Alpha
This is a decent story but it is a bit unfinished which was really disappointing because it has such potential.
The story is about Summer and Jackson. These two have been best friends since they were cubs, BUT Summer’s dad the alpha wants Summer to marry an alpha of a different pack to create a new alliance. Furthermore her father has decided that Summer’s sister Autumn is the appropriate mate for Jackson. Summer cannot take it this is something she cannot watch so she does what any sensible shifter would do and she leaves. Soon she stumbles onto a new pack who needs an alpha…guess what happens next.
Interesting story lots of possibilities but it let me down in many places. The biggest issue I had with the story is the lack of background and very little information on the setting. Combine this with a first person narrative and personally I never got all that vested in the characters. Even the romantic parts felt bleh. The book is ok not sure I will read another.
